President Shavkat Mirziyoyev visited the Alley of National Heroes in Victory Park.
This memorial, established on the initiative of the Head of State, is dedicated to the memory of military personnel and law enforcement officers who gave their lives defending the country during the years of independence.

From above, the complex is shaped like a crescent with twelve stars, mirroring the design of Uzbekistan’s national flag. The star-shaped edges, each about two meters high, are memorial plaques engraved in gold with the names of 196 heroes. Nearby, monitors display photo and video materials telling the stories of their lives: their childhood, dreams, service, and families. These are not merely names – each represents a profoundly human story brought to life.

The crescent shape gives the alley the appearance of a compact amphitheater, from the top of which water flows – a symbol of purity. A sculptural composition completes the artistic concept: at the center, parents are depicted bidding farewell to their son as he departs for military service. On either side stand figures representing the Ministry of Defense, the Ministry of Internal Affairs, the Ministry of Emergency Situations, the Supreme Court, the Prosecutor’s Office, the State Security Service, the Customs Committee, and the National Guard.

The President met with the families of fallen servicemen.
“Every year, we come here to remember the losses of World War II. We have also created this memorial in memory of those who fell during the years of independence. This was a noble undertaking, because they, too, are our national heroes. That is why this place holds special meaning. It is a reflection of our identity, it is respect for the individual”, Shavkat Mirziyoyev said.

The Head of State expressed deep respect for the families of the nation’s defenders.
“These brave sons of the people, without thinking of themselves, remained faithful to their duty and gave their lives for the peace of our citizens. The peaceful sky over our country today is largely thanks to them. Their families and loved ones should know – they are always with us, and their names live on in our hearts. I bow my head to the parents and spouses of these patriots. May their children be worthy of their heroic fathers”, the President said.
The importance of commemorative events in the regions where the national heroes were born, telling the younger generation about their courage, and creating works that immortalize their deeds as examples of selfless devotion was emphasized.

President Shavkat Mirziyoyev also visited veterans of World War II and the labor front. During the meeting, the Head of State congratulated them on the occasion.
“First and foremost, I congratulate you, and through you, all our esteemed veterans, on the 80th anniversary of Victory. On behalf of the entire nation, I express my deepest gratitude. Thanks to your heroism, today’s generation lives in peace and prosperity. We must convey the value of this peace to the youth through your example. Your entire life is a model for us. Every word you speak is a great lesson and a source of wisdom. May the Almighty bless you with good health and long life so that you continue to be our pride and moral pillar”, Shavkat Mirziyoyev said.

The veterans expressed their appreciation for the attention shown to historical memory and the care extended to the older generation, and they recited a dua.
In accordance with the Presidential Decree of the Republic of Uzbekistan of February 19, due respect and recognition are being extended to veterans of the war and the labor front. One-time monetary awards of $10,000 are granted to World War II veterans and war-disabled individuals. Those officially recognized as equivalent receive 25 million UZS. Labor front participants are awarded 3 million UZS each.

Many veterans have also been presented with commemorative medals marking the “80th Anniversary of Victory in World War II”.

Comprehensive medical and social services, including home care, are being provided to war veterans and disabled soldiers. Those who wish to do so may receive treatment at health resorts.

With the involvement of senior officials from relevant ministries, agencies, organizations, and military units, support is being provided to veterans of war and labor, as well as to the families of military personnel and law enforcement officers who died in the line of duty during the years of independence. They are receiving extensive assistance and support with everyday needs.
