The first educational event at the “Human Rights House”

On December 10, the National Human Rights Center of the Republic of Uzbekistan “Human Rights House” hosted a presentation of the book “Calendar of Virtue: Unity of Intention, Word and Action” by poet and translator, Honored Journalist of the Republic of Uzbekistan Ghulom Mirzo. The event was dedicated to December 8 - the day of adoption of the Constitution of the Republic of Uzbekistan and December 10 - International Human Rights Day.

Opening the presentation, Academician Akmal Saidov, Director of the National Human Rights Center  of the Republic of Uzbekistan, emphasized that for members of every society, just as working days and weekends are important in terms of directly serving the development of the country and national well-being, holidays, important national and international dates are equally valuable.

In this sense, it is noteworthy that the book contains 70 articles and comments dedicated to important national and international dates and holidays. This book is the first new publication published on the initiative of the “Human Rights House”.

Lawyers, journalists and writers who spoke at the presentation acknowledged that this collection will serve to further enrich the reader’s understanding and imagination of various holidays and important dates. It will also be useful for schoolchildren and students to learn the necessary skills and experience in carrying out independent creative work in this direction.

Ghulom Mirzo’s new book is also useful for young researchers on the path of science and research. Because it contains a lot of necessary information written in rare sources that are not found on the Internet, as well as important evidence related to historical events that the author witnessed during his life.

At the end of the event, the participants of the presentation were presented with the book “Calendar of Virtue: Unity of Intention, Word and Deed”. A series of books was donated to the “Human Rights House” book fund.
