The OIC Independent Permanent Human Rights Commission (IPHRC), represented by H.E. Dr. Mirzatillo Tillabaev, Member of the Commission, participated in the Fifth Samarkand Forum on Human Rights, held in Uzbekistan on 28–29 September 2026, marking the 60th anniversary of the International Human Rights Covenants and the 40th anniversary of the UN Declaration on the Right to Development.
The participation further strengthens the longstanding cooperation between IPHRC and the National Human Rights Centre of the Republic of Uzbekistan, anchored in their Memorandum of Understanding, and provides further impetus for joint activities, knowledge exchange and institutional cooperation in advancing human rights and sustainable development.
