Pilgrims from Uzbekistan offer prayers for the nation

On May 31, President Shavkat Mirziyoyev held a telephone conversation with the Chairman of the Muslim Board of Uzbekistan, Mufti Sheikh Nuriddin Holiqnazar.

In these blessed days, our compatriots are in the holy city of Makkah to perform the Hajj pilgrimage. The Head of State inquired about the conditions provided for the pilgrims and their health and spirits.

The Mufti noted that all necessary organizational measures had been taken to ensure the proper performance of the Hajj rituals.

At present, all 15,000 pilgrims from Uzbekistan have arrived in Saudi Arabia. They are accompanied by more than 300 group leaders, 50 highly qualified doctors, over 10 chefs, and other specialists.

This year, at the request of the Uzbek side, enclosed tents were installed in the Arafat Valley, surrounded by thermal insulation panels and equipped with a cooling system, carpets, and bedding. This provides additional comfort for the pilgrims in the summer heat.

Overall, the preparations for this Hajj season were carried out at a higher level, ensuring all necessary conditions. Filled with gratitude, compatriots at the holy sites are offering prayers to the Almighty for peace and well-being for the country and people.

Mufti Nuriddin Holiqnazar conveyed the greetings and kind words of the pilgrims to the President. The Head of State extended his warm greetings to all the pilgrims and wished them a safe return home.

The conversation took place in a warm and friendly atmosphere. It was expressed with hope that upon their return to Uzbekistan, the respected pilgrims would serve as examples in strengthening the social environment of their mahallas, providing assistance to those in need, and enlightening the youth.
