The arena, which has a universal purpose, can also host international competitions in boxing, wrestling, basketball, table tennis, chess and checkers, as well as events within the framework of the “Five Initiatives”. The complex includes an IT Academy, where young people learn computer skills, foreign languages, graphic design, robotics, and other areas. It is planned to implement the “Heirs of Muhammad al-Khwarizmi” system to train specialists in this field.
The Head of state watched competitions in e-sports, chess, the intellectual game “Zakovat”, basketball, and talked with young people.
“Today, we visited many places in Jizzakh and started new projects. Of course, the region’s economy and the scale of construction have grown significantly. But the main achievement is the desire of our youth, their activity and self-confidence. It is with such youth that we will implement our Strategy and the big goals we have set for ourselves”, Shavkat Mirziyoyev said.
During the visit, the responsible persons discussed the plans for the arena’s activities. In particular, friendship tournaments will be held with the winners of various competitions to participate in world championships.
