At the invitation of the Amir of the State of Qatar, Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani, the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan, Shavkat Mirziyoyev, has arrived in Doha on a working visit.

The President of Uzbekistan was welcomed by Qatar’s Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of State for Defence Affairs, Sheikh Saoud bin Abdulrahman Ali Al Thani, along with other officials.

At Hamad International Airport, an honor guard was lined up, and the national flags of both countries were raised in honor of the distinguished guest.

In accordance with the visit program, tomorrow, November 4, the President of Uzbekistan will take part in the Second World Summit for Social Development.

It is expected that the Head of State will put forward several initiatives aimed at reducing poverty, ensuring employment, enhancing resilience, promoting social justice and inclusiveness in societies, expanding access to education, adapting to climate change, and other areas.

High-level negotiations are also scheduled for the summit.
