A group of citizens, representatives of organizations and institutions were awarded the “For the Protection of Human Rights” badge for their practical work in the field of human rights protection, their activities in non-governmental organizations in the field of human rights protection, their contribution to the protection of women's and children's rights, as well as education and advocacy in the field of human rights.
The badge was solemnly awarded to its owners by Akmal Saidov, Director of the National Human Rights Center of the Republic of Uzbekistan, at an award ceremony on December 13, 2024. Including:
- For practical work in the field of human rights protection:
- Mirbabayev Bakhtiyar Shamsutdinovich - Honorary Judge of the Constitutional Court of the Republic of Uzbekistan;

- Matchanov Alimzhan Atabaevich - Head of the Faculty of Work with Foreign Personnel of the Academy of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Uzbekistan;
- “YURIST VA KADR” non-governmental educational institution this year became the owner of the “For the Protection of Human Rights” badge.
It is worth noting that this badge was established by the Decree of President Shavkat Mirziyoyev “On Approval of the National Strategy of the Republic of Uzbekistan on Human Rights” dated June 22, 2020. The award will be solemnly presented by the Director of the National Human Rights Center of the Republic of Uzbekistan.
The solemn event was held offline and online at the newly opened “Human Rights House” of the National Human Rights Center of the Republic of Uzbekistan. The awarding process was also observed live by library employees and relatives of our compatriots who were laureates of the badge at the National Library of Uzbekistan in our capital, as well as at information and resource centers in the Republic of Karakalpakstan and regional centers.
At the end of the event, representatives of a number of state organizations, scientific and educational institutions and civil society institutions that have been effectively cooperating with the National Human Rights Center of the Republic of Uzbekistan were awarded with certificates of appreciation.
